The use of ICTs to learn English


Introduction: In the last few classes, we have discussed the importance of technology in language teaching. Therefore, you are going to do an investigation based on the use of ICTs to learn English, how it improves the way of learning, what tools you can use to learn English and some problems that you can face with it.

 

Task: This activity will help you learn more about the use of ICTs to learn English and some problems that you can face with it. You will have a week to do your research and then prepare your research blog post.

 

Process: To start getting ready for your blogging, which is going to be your Research #1, you need to work individually.

While you develop this research and look for information to complete it, try to answer the following questions that must be overtly answered in your blog post.

Conclusion: The idea behind the development of this research is that you know everything that ICTs can offer you to improve your level of English or even improve the way you learn it. On the other hand, you can also find out about some problems you may have with ICTs and thus avoid them.

What years ago, seemed impossible today thanks to technology can become a reality and thanks to technology we can learn different things every day. No matter where we are, if we have a technological tool and access to the internet, we can search for information to enrich our knowledge or even put it to the test. We have seen how due to the pandemic we had to use all the technological tools available, which meant a complete change in the way we teach and learn. We had to adapt to virtuality, use tools to be able to continue with our learning and all this happened thanks to the technology that has served, serves, and will serve to prepare us as future professionals.
